Phytography book

This limited edition brings the work of 11 artists together who are working with phytography, a technique developed by Karel Doing. The work of each artist can be discovered through images and text. The book offers a variety of phytograms, drawings, workshop photos, essays, poems and interviews. Duotone risograph printing has been used to bring out the fragile beauty of the originals. The middle section is printed in full colour as a counterpoint, to demonstrate the fascinating process that renders these images visible, crossing over from the natural world to the realm of culture. On the cover of the book a handmade phytogram is attached, making each copy unique. The book is printed on high quality recycled paper and the ale coloured cover is made from chlorine-free pulp and spent brewer's grain.
